Low-starch vegetables and fruits can be a meal all on their own for breakfast or lunch. Mushrooms and peppers with wine and herbs is a great recipe that meets all your needs and makes a great dinner, either for yourself or for guests.

Sometimes it's hard to remember which foods are low in fat, so it can be helpful to keep a list posted somewhere in your home for easy reference. You can post it on your refrigerator door or laminate it and take it with you to the grocery store.
